Game 6 Will Be Wednesday Night at 8pm on ESPN

After the Thunder finished up their series by routinely dismantling the Lakers last night to send them packing in five games, a time has been announced for the C’s-Sixers Game 6 on Wednesday night. It will tipoff shortly after 8pm on ESPN. Looking ahead in the postseason, if the C’s do win Game 6, and [...]

Highlight: Rondo Leads The Break

I love this decision-making from Rajon Rondo. While leading the break, you can see him eyeballing Ray Allen, who runs the wing and spots up on the arc. The Sixers have a 1-2 disadvantage but are mostly concerned about Allen’s three balls, which allows Mickael Pietrus to make an unmolested baseline cut behind the defense. [...]

Celtics-Sixers Game 5 Tips off at 7pm

A note to all you local C’s fans out there that may be attending the game tonight at TD Garden. The game will start just after 7pm and will be broadcast nationally on TNT. However, unlike most TNT regular season games during the season, the tip will not come 15-20 minutes after the scheduled start [...]

(Video) Rajon Rondo Continues To Dominate In Postgame Interview

Rajon Rondo is a tremendous player, but he tends to have a little bit of an issue scoring the ball late in games. I won’t go as far as saying he is scared, but he does pass up shots and defer to teammates in crunch-time….well a lot. Last night though may have been his coming [...]

Video: Full Kevin Garnett Reaction After Game 1

Garnett followed up his season-best effort against Atlanta in Game 6 with a new season-high in points and another sensational double-double, as well 60 percent shooting (12-of-20) from the field. “Ooooooo Baby Baby”

I remember when I first fell in love with Glen Davis.  It was just about the time I saw this video:

With every game he gets significant playing time, my love only gets reaffirmed. Last night’s game vs. Miami was no different. Not only did he score 22 points and pull down 8 boards, but he also showcased another dimension to his game: interior passing. Earlier in the season Baby relied on his huge frame to shoulder people out of the way while going up for a lay-up or a put-back, and who could blame him. When you’re as big as Glen Davis why wouldn’t you use it to your advantage. However, what Big Baby has in bulk, he lacks in height. Opposing players usually have had enough time to recover from the contact to alter or block his shots- and they did for most of the season. This is why last night was so beautiful.

At least twice Big Baby made the correct decision to dish. Both times, two Miami Bigs came over to “roof” Baby underneath the basket and both times Baby deftly dealt the ball to Perk for the easy two. That is just good basketball.

How good is Glen Davis?  Before I answer, lemme drop a little quick knowledge. Since the Celtics’ BIG Three (Kevin Garnett, Leon Powe, Brian Scalabrine) went down with injuries, Davis has played out of his noggin’ averaging 13.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 33.7 minutes a game. Not to mention, he’s shooting 46.4% from the field and 73.2% from the stripe.

Okay, so you’re not a numbers person. Then let’s compare his numbers to the power forwards the Celtics are most likely to face en route to the Finals or in the Finals. Since the injuries, Davis is averaging more points and minutes than Anderson Varejao, Lamar Odom, and Luis Scola; more rebounds and has a higher field goal percentage than Rashard Lewis; and has a higher field throw percentage than Anderson Varejao and Lamar Odom.

Okay, so you’re not a comparison person. Then search Glen Davis on youtube and you’ll find numerous examples of the emotion he plays with. You can’t teach passion, you have to have it since birth, and Glen Davis has it.

Still not convinced? Then just watch this for fun (3:22 in Davis describes his definition of a “Beast,” notice the eye widening). Also, even if Davis does score a single point or get a single rebound in the playoffs, he can still do this.
