Great point Zach. I also remember plenty of Lakers fans crying foul, convinced that if they had Bynum they would have won, and maybe they would have. Same from Magic fans about Jameer Nelson. Everyone does it, but most mask it in the comment "Celtics fans, stop complaining about KG, Leon Powe, Brian Scalabrine being injured, we don't have (insert opposing player name here)"

Using injury is a perfectly fine excuse for not winning. What it's not okay for is guaranteeing anything had all players been healthy. The bottom line is, no one knows, so there's no use speculating. All one can say is that all things considered, healthy players put any team in the best place to win a game- cut and dry.

As one of the blog's authors, I welcome everyone. I think some team blogs become way too homer-y, personally. I just wish they'd bring something more than "Lakers rule! Celtics suck!"

@q16back

I never understood why fans of other teams read, never mind comment, on opposing team's blogs or home newspapers.

You're not the intended audience so you shouldn't expect to agree with the content

Stop making excuses for the Celtics. Injuries are a big part of sports. Everyone who participates has them and they can occur at bad times. But don't offer them up for reasons why you lost. No one offered any excuses for the Lakers when they lost. It only demeans your franchise and that should never happen.

This is a great article because it gives credit to the courage and fighting spirit of The Champs. All us Celtics fans are disappointed, but I couldn't be prouder of the boys for showing such an incredible will to win. The injuries aside, this is an amazing ball team and you will certainly be seeing them play a major part in future Playoffs. I have nothing but admiration for their ultimate leader, Doc Rivers, for never making an excuse, never justifying a loss and yet NEVER losing faith in the ability of his team to win ball games. I LOVE THE CELTICS!!!
