You know, as painful as it is to say it, the best (healthy) team won. The Lakers were the best all-around team in the league this year, and they deserved to win this title.
And it was nice to hear Phil Jackson be so complimentary of Red in the post-game ceremony. Sure, he’s got no choice, but he could have just stuck to platitudes about Red being a great coach. To mention lighting a cigar in tribute was a nice touch.
If you’ll allow me one moment of pleasurable hate: Sasha Vujacic scored zero points in 20 minutes in this series. Thanks for showing up, Sasha! By all means, continue to preen like a relevant NBA player!

Nice Video…. I know last year the Celtics whopped the Lakers’ Asses… But this year they were owned by the Lakers. The Lakers only had a losing record against 2 teams. Neither was the Celtics. They were the Bobcats and the Magic!

Let’s take the equivalent… Lakers losing their best player, like the Celtics lost theirs… and please don’t argue to me that they’d even of made it out of the first round without Kobe Bryant. You can’t compare Lakers injuries to Celtics injuries… and that doesnt even mention the fact that we lost Powe in the playoffs too, who was the only significant defensive/rebounding post presence we had left other than perkins (no offense to big baby meant, but he just doesn’t count there.)
