Just as the real world is cash-strapped, so is that top one percent corner of multimillionaires known as the NBA.
Some might think that a valuable role player like Eddie House would do the safe thing and exercise his $2.86 million player option by the June 30 deadline. But the Celtics guard, after one of the more productive seasons of his nine-year career, has the nagging feeling that he can earn more – hopefully with the Celtics.
But House’s love for his current situation may not preclude him from testing the free agent market next month.
What will the Celtics do with House money?

Let him go there is a better shooter in the euro…. Name Chris Lofton.
yeah but you cant replace eddie when hes one of the best off the bench shooters in the NBA, (other then Manu) and hes one of the best catch and shoot players.
If the Celtics lose Eddie House, They will sure erase a huge part of their chemistry. House was definitely motvated in his role, and capabile of killing you off the bench, which is something he relished! They saw what happened when their chemistry was damaged by injury, and you talk about letting the best shooter off the bench, who is always motivatede in his role. I would hold the trigger.
The Celtics just need to get healthy. =We watched them all year and they damn near limped into the Finals with the reserves and starters pulling hard to get it done. As beatup as they were, they were the team that should have been in the finals!
IT WILL BE A BIG MISTAKE TO LET EDDIE HOUSE GO, WE LOST POSE LAST YEAR . HE COULD HAVE BEEN A BIG HELP AS A BACK UP FOR PIERCE THIS YEAR. WITH ALL THE RUMORS ABOUT RAY ALLEN MIGHT BE TRADED. EDDIE HOUSE WOULD THE THE BEST 3 POINT SHOOTER IN THE TEAM. WE REALLY NEED HIS SCORING COMING OFF THE BENCH. WE MAY NOT HAVE GLEN DAVIS BACK. IF THE C’S ARE SMART THEY SHOULD KEEP EDDIE & DAVIS, AND SIGN A BIG MAN AS A BACK UP FOR PERK.
lakers=another 3peat celtics next champsionship=2057?maybe
