I WATCHED BOTH CELTS GAMES.

RE GIDDENS.....HE HAS CONTINUED TO SHOW THE ATHLETIC ABILTIY HE SHOWED IN THE nbdl LAST YEAR. PEOPLE DON'T GIVE HIM CREDIT FOR HIS ABILITY TO DRIVE TO THE HOOP. HE HAS THE QUICKEST FIRST STEP SINCE ANDREW TONEY. HE SHOULD SUPPLANT TA IF WE ONLY COULD MOVE TA FOR A BIG.

RE PRUITT.....I'VE BEEN A PRUITT FAN FOR TW YEARS NOW. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS DOC RIVERS DOESN'T LIKE HIM FOR WHATEVER REASON. HE HAS THE HANDLE, ALWAYS HAS HIS HEAD UP AND HE CAN SHOOT THE BALL. HE IS THE BEST DEFENDER @ PG ON THIS TEAM EVEN BETTER THAN RONDO BECAUSE RONDO TRIES TO FEND HIS PLAYERS TO THE SIDE AND NOT STRAIGHT UP.

ALL IN ALL IF WE CAN GET TWO OR THREE PLAYERS COMING OFF A GOOD WEEK THEN THAT IS KEY.

I'm beating this to death today, but I would love to hear more opinions on Matt Barnes. Brendan? He's under 30, 6'7", can defend, shoot, pass, and drive. He seems like a good guy and has always been a role player. A poor man's Ariza?

Giddens looked strong today for sure, driving past or backing down guys at will. Karl looked good, but threw one terrible pass that made me question his whole game (I know, give em a break already, and I will). He had a sweet stoke and solid attack. Pruitt didn't impress me much, but I didn't watch the entire game. General consensus seems to indicate that he did well, which I'm happy to hear.

The celtics are hoping that gabe can be the inexpensive back up pg they need. Giddens has so much upside that I think if he can play defense consistantly he will get TA's minutes. His youth aggressive drives and athletic prowess is what the celtics ageing team needs. Bill Walker (a personal favorite of mine) is still not NBA ready. Sadly he has improved just not enough to get any real minutes. I hope I eat my words. With sheed all but inked big baby needs to be the next priority, followed closely by signing a solid back up sf for Paul. He was spent in the Orlando series. Grant hill is a little old but a wiley vet who has a midrange game and even though injury has stolen his athleticism his NBA IQ is high so he can still be effective. Idk if the bi-anual 2mil will entice him enough to come to boston.
