i don’t think it’s going to shake out this way. there is no way the celtics would be waiting this long to sign daniels unless they were holding out for a sign and trade.

there will be a deal with the pacers involving some combo of scal, allen, giddens, and walker–there is no way both giddens and walker are staying; ainge already stated this.

plus, it makes zero sense for the celts to keep daniels AND allen. they both do the same things except allen plays much better defense and turns the ball over more.

i think they will sign hudson and probably a vet SF for the minimum.

I think it goes without saying that Scalabrine is on the way out (probably in the Marquis Daniels deal). I also would like to see Tony Allen sent out as well. I would hope that this would clear room for the C’s to bring on Anthony Carter and Bruce Bowen. It is crucial that Pierce has a backup defensive specialist to spell him in defending against Bryant, Lebron (and even Vince). I think that Bowen could be the missing piece. If we had these players, our first and second team would look as such:

1st 2nd
C Perkins C Wallace
PF Garnett PF Glen Davis
SF Pierce SF Bowen
SG Allen SG Daniels
PG Rondo PG Carter

This would then leave us with Giddens, Walker, House and Shelden to insert based on need. Thoughts?
