If a team moved to Hartford, and picked up one or two UConn guys, the state would go nuts for the team. Everyone loves UConn basketball in CT, an NBA team is just the next logical step!

UConn men's basketball is as close to professional sports CT will ever have. (I should know as an alumnus.) But there really is no market. All 3 mil people are already split between the Celts/Knicks and Red Sox/Yankees. But I do know 1 or 2 Mets and Nets fans..but they don't count..

I am a Celtics season ticket holder living in the Hartford area, I would turn them in for a team that is within 20 minutes of my house. Sure the area stinks and we don't have a lot of people, but there is something about having a real home team.

I still refuse to watch NHL on national TV because they took away my Whalers :(

What about the Flint Tropics? Greatest ABA team ever!

Know how you feel, Zach. Kentucky has never had a Big Four professional sport. Closest we had was the Kentucky Colonels of the ABA (which was the most successful ABA team, btw), but bias kept us out of the NBA. We came close to getting the Grizzlies when they left Vancouver, but nevertheless.

That's why college ball rules the Bluegrass, and most people don't care about the NBA.

Ha... Connecticut. The Great Suburb between New York and Boston. We don't need a team, it would just get lost in the shuffle. That would be like mixing chocolate and vanilla together for a new flavor. Just... unnecessary.
