Shocking News You’ll Never Believe

The NBA will take no disciplinary action against Chris Paul or Rajon Rondo as punishment for that foul, foul language they used during Sunday’s game, according to CBS Sports.

So, yes: Trash-talking is apparently legal in the NBA.

In related news (via the Boston Herald), Ray Allen denied an earlier Adrian Wojnarowski report on Yahoo! that he entered the New Orleans locker room after the game to apologize on Rondo’s behalf.

Is it me or Adrian Wojnarowski seems to be wrong 99% of the time?

It’s just you. Wojnarowski is one of the best NBA reporters around. The Herald article says that Allen went into the locker room and asked Paul what had happened but didn’t actually apologize. I find it much more credible that Allen is simply protecting his teammate than Wojnarowski filed an erroneous report. And if you read the original report it never states that Allen apologized but that he “all but expressed his embarrassment for Rondo’s increasingly tired act.”

I’m with Jonathan here, and he’s right about Woj’s precise language in that first report.

I don’t remember off the top of my head, but his name seems to pop up a lot in curious articles/rumors. Rondo/Ray for Stuckey/Prince/Hamilton trade is the only one that popped off my head

    Tom – this article?

Please read it and tell me what is wrong in it. He’s simply reporting what league sources told him. Simply because you don’t like what he reports doesn’t mean he’s wrong. I think that the general consensus is that he’s one of the premier NBA reporters around these days and much less likely to engage in rumor mongering then most of the crew over at espn or your local newspaper.

  6. Tom says:

I am just saying his name seems to pop up in questionable rumors. I am not saying he made it up, but his rumors seem to be from mars. I guess rumors are only as good as the original source. He is simply relating messages.

  7. jonathan says:

Sorry Tom but you’re flat out wrong to insinuate that he’s making up rumors. I meant the link before to go to the actual article but here it is below. Notice he uses the plural “league sources” which says that he was told this information by multiple independent sources. And please name one “questionable rumor” that he wrote about? Otherwise I don’t see how you can make any claim you are.
