4 things:

1) Kobe already changed his number, so try again Lebron.
2) Kobe did this for a few reasons, but 1 being to even further increase his royalties on jersey sales.
3) #6 is a more honorable number to wear? How about Bill Russell slap you in the face with 5 rings on his hand?
4) And then have Russell slap you again with his other 6 rings on his hand?

FYI, #23 is also retired from the C’s for Frank Ramsey, so he would have to pick a different number anyways.

Bill Russell is 1,000,000 times the man Jordan is and a true patriarch to the NBA, its too bad LeBron doesn’t realize that.

The problem with claiming this is a sign of new-found maturity and not about “him” is the last sentence of his quote…
