It is nice to see thoughtful analysis of NBA defense besides “Player X plays good defense” and “Player Y plays bad defense”.

Love it! You put some effort into this. Well done! I think it’s hard to stay in the moment when the ref makes a bad call or no call or your teammate blows it, BUT the other team or the ref is not gonna stop to listen to anyone complain. It’s like taking ONE mistake & compounding it into an even bigger mistake–one bad play begets two bad plays because of whining or pouting or just going ape. It’s a bad habit to get caught up in what just happened & not stay in the moment. It’s a lack of self control which is self destructive. Also, if you are the guy who just screwed up, you should try extra hard at the other end to make a play instead of dwelling on what just happened. Trying harder & making plays is like amnesia juice for mistakes.
