Here’s John Krolk of Cavs the Blog reflecting on how much trouble Mo Williams seemed to have Wednesday getting space from Jrue Holliday, Philly’s rookie point guard—and a stalwart defender:
Mo was able to get free off some 3-1 pick-and-roll sets in the fourth quarter to hit some big shots, but how much he struggled to get free from Holiday is a concern, especially if the Cavs end up seeing Rondo and the Celtics in the playoffs.
Something to file away. If Shaq continues to struggle (he’s hitting a career low 51 percent from the floor, and the Cavs offense is functioning poorly when he’s on the floor) and Delonte West can’t be the player he was last season, the Cavaliers suddenly look like a very guardable offensive club. LeBron is LeBron, sure, but he needs help. Any astute Cavs will tell you that Mo Williams has been the barometer for this team so far. When he plays and shoots well, the Cavs usually win. When he can’t score or create, the Cavs struggle.
mo williams is one of hte most over rated players in the NBA
Mo Williams is good, but he’s stoppable. I think Rondo can really limit him, which is huge.
+1
mo is over-rated. shaq is over-rated. cavs are over-rated. the Cs, hawks and magic are the best in the east….the cavs are a step behind.
the Cs matchup fine with the magic, but the hawks really make me sweat……if they heads are on the same page….their athleticism is dangerous.
The effects of Global Warming is getting much stronger these days. We should concentrate more on alternative energy to reduce carbon emissions.
