They're up big in the division and have already proven they can compete on the road this year. Pierce and KG missing time allows more players to step in and get real minutes against good teams. Come June they will have more guys used to rotating and playing different positions, allowing them to be a more cohesive defensive unit. If they can keep the game close in Orlando without Pierce, there will be nothing to worry about come playoff time. I am not sure what the real big deal is with this.
