Avery Bradley Likely Done For Season

On the back of a horrific game six performance, Gary Washburn of the Globe piled on with more bad news: Avery Bradley is almost certainly done for the season. Washburn: A source close to Bradley told the Globe that it’s in the “high 90s” percentile that Bradley will be shut down and will perhaps need [...]

Game 6 Will Be Wednesday Night at 8pm on ESPN

After the Thunder finished up their series by routinely dismantling the Lakers last night to send them packing in five games, a time has been announced for the C’s-Sixers Game 6 on Wednesday night. It will tipoff shortly after 8pm on ESPN. Looking ahead in the postseason, if the C’s do win Game 6, and [...]

Highlight: Rondo Leads The Break

I love this decision-making from Rajon Rondo. While leading the break, you can see him eyeballing Ray Allen, who runs the wing and spots up on the arc. The Sixers have a 1-2 disadvantage but are mostly concerned about Allen’s three balls, which allows Mickael Pietrus to make an unmolested baseline cut behind the defense. [...]

Celtics-Sixers Game 5 Tips off at 7pm

A note to all you local C’s fans out there that may be attending the game tonight at TD Garden. The game will start just after 7pm and will be broadcast nationally on TNT. However, unlike most TNT regular season games during the season, the tip will not come 15-20 minutes after the scheduled start [...]

(Video) Rajon Rondo Continues To Dominate In Postgame Interview

Rajon Rondo is a tremendous player, but he tends to have a little bit of an issue scoring the ball late in games. I won’t go as far as saying he is scared, but he does pass up shots and defer to teammates in crunch-time….well a lot. Last night though may have been his coming [...]

C’s Reach “Tentative Agreement” with Knicks for Robinson

UPDATE: Multiple reports confirm Sheridan’s report on the deal being done. Marcus Landry is also reportedly the 2nd player involved in the deal from the Knicks end, though that has yet to be confirmed. Chris Forsberg of ESPNBoston.com has also wisely pointed out that the Walker/Giddens/House for Robinson/Landry deal works since the Knicks have a couple of trade exceptions at their disposal to make the numbers work. I’m sure the Knicks are still working on a couple other deals before this deadline, so I will not believe any said deal, until we hit the 3pm barrier.

Count me as satisfied if said deal goes down as composed, with the C’s not having to give up any draft picks for Robinson. Bill Walker could be a rotation player someday but it wasn’t going to happen with this team, not now anyway.

Stay tuned for further updates.

I feel like we’ve made about five of these posts in the last 24 hours, but this latest report, from Chris Sheridan of Truehoop, actually has some other names involved, besides just Nate Robinson and Eddie House, in order to make the salaries matchup.

Multiple sources say the Knicks have reached a tentative agreement on a deal with Boston sending Nate Robinson and a second player to the Celtics for Eddie House, J.R. Giddens and Bill Walker. The identity of the second New York player was not immediately clear.

A quick inspection of the Knicks roster doesn’t show anyone that could slot in as the 2nd unnamed Knicks player that would also make the numbers work. My best guess right now, is that a 3rd team is going to be involved here, either that or the Knicks will just flip a player they get in another yet to be finalized deal back to the Celtics in order to make the salaries work.

I’m sure there are plenty of scenarios C’s and Knicks executives are paging through right now in order to make this work, but eventually it will get done by 3pm. Obviously, giving up Giddens and Walker, would be no big loss for the Celtics here. Check back with us here at CelticsHub for the latest developments, as this one probably will go down to the wire this afternoon before all the names and pieces come out.
