Avery Bradley Likely Done For Season

On the back of a horrific game six performance, Gary Washburn of the Globe piled on with more bad news: Avery Bradley is almost certainly done for the season. Washburn: A source close to Bradley told the Globe that it’s in the “high 90s” percentile that Bradley will be shut down and will perhaps need [...]

Game 6 Will Be Wednesday Night at 8pm on ESPN

After the Thunder finished up their series by routinely dismantling the Lakers last night to send them packing in five games, a time has been announced for the C’s-Sixers Game 6 on Wednesday night. It will tipoff shortly after 8pm on ESPN. Looking ahead in the postseason, if the C’s do win Game 6, and [...]

Highlight: Rondo Leads The Break

I love this decision-making from Rajon Rondo. While leading the break, you can see him eyeballing Ray Allen, who runs the wing and spots up on the arc. The Sixers have a 1-2 disadvantage but are mostly concerned about Allen’s three balls, which allows Mickael Pietrus to make an unmolested baseline cut behind the defense. [...]

Celtics-Sixers Game 5 Tips off at 7pm

A note to all you local C’s fans out there that may be attending the game tonight at TD Garden. The game will start just after 7pm and will be broadcast nationally on TNT. However, unlike most TNT regular season games during the season, the tip will not come 15-20 minutes after the scheduled start [...]

(Video) Rajon Rondo Continues To Dominate In Postgame Interview

Rajon Rondo is a tremendous player, but he tends to have a little bit of an issue scoring the ball late in games. I won’t go as far as saying he is scared, but he does pass up shots and defer to teammates in crunch-time….well a lot. Last night though may have been his coming [...]

WHAT THE PACERS DO WELL:

Defend the Basket

Former C’s coach Jim O’Brien always strove to have his Celtic squads play stingy defense and things are no different with this Pacer team. They will concede the outside shot (27th in league in defend the three) but are 11th overall in opponent’s FG Percentage. Not bad right? Hey, it’s the Pacers, I gotta reach here for something good.

WHAT THE PACERS DO POORLY

  • Where do I begin? Oh right….shooting from anywhere on the court
  • Turnovers and Offensive Rebounding
  • Keeping their hands to themselves (Fouling)

PLAYER WHO MAKES ME WORRY

Danny Granger

He’s an athletic power forward with a great shooting range. The Celtics haven’t had trouble with any of those guys lately….oh wait.

PLAYERS WHO DO NOT MAKE ME WORRY

Dahntay Jones and T.J. Ford

Two flawed players that can have their moments but really should be contained by this defense. This defense hasn’t been able to do anything it “should” be doing lately though, so easier said than done.

WHAT WE WANT TO SEE FROM THE C’S TONIGHT

Offensive Consistency

The defense shouldn’t be that big of a problem tonight. This Pacer team doesn’t have the personnel to put up the 111 point spot Memphis did. They can play D though, so it’d be nice if the Celtics can avoid a stinker of an offensive quarter they have been prone to in the past few weeks. A strong start defensively by the starters wouldn’t kill them either. The Pacers went up big early the last times these teams played at the Garden. We will see if Boston learned its lesson.

PREDICTION

Honestly, who the hell knows? This team is so unpredictable right now. Blowout win, close win, close loss, you can’t rule anything out with these guys. Let’s go with the former, since I’m feeling surprisingly optimistic and will be witnessing the fesitivies in person on press row. Celtics 103, Pacers 88
