Avery Bradley Likely Done For Season

On the back of a horrific game six performance, Gary Washburn of the Globe piled on with more bad news: Avery Bradley is almost certainly done for the season. Washburn: A source close to Bradley told the Globe that it’s in the “high 90s” percentile that Bradley will be shut down and will perhaps need [...]

Game 6 Will Be Wednesday Night at 8pm on ESPN

After the Thunder finished up their series by routinely dismantling the Lakers last night to send them packing in five games, a time has been announced for the C’s-Sixers Game 6 on Wednesday night. It will tipoff shortly after 8pm on ESPN. Looking ahead in the postseason, if the C’s do win Game 6, and [...]

Highlight: Rondo Leads The Break

I love this decision-making from Rajon Rondo. While leading the break, you can see him eyeballing Ray Allen, who runs the wing and spots up on the arc. The Sixers have a 1-2 disadvantage but are mostly concerned about Allen’s three balls, which allows Mickael Pietrus to make an unmolested baseline cut behind the defense. [...]

A note to all you local C’s fans out there that may be attending the game tonight at TD Garden. The game will start just after 7pm and will be broadcast nationally on TNT. However, unlike most TNT regular season games during the season, the tip will not come 15-20 minutes after the scheduled start [...]

(Video) Rajon Rondo Continues To Dominate In Postgame Interview

Rajon Rondo is a tremendous player, but he tends to have a little bit of an issue scoring the ball late in games. I won’t go as far as saying he is scared, but he does pass up shots and defer to teammates in crunch-time….well a lot. Last night though may have been his coming [...]

Statement Win: C’s 104, Cavs 86

ESPN Recap • Cavs the Blog • Waiting For Next Year

Finally. For all the C’s fans that have suffered through this tumultous season, keeping faith in this team despite the endless turmoil, the pieces finally came together this evening. The C’s blew the doors of the Q open, turning around a close game at halftime by putting on an absolute clinic in the 3rd quarter on their way to an 18 point victory, tying the series at 1-1.

By outscoring the newly crowned MVP and his teammates by a 31-12 margin in the third frame, the C’s turned a 4 point lead into a 23 point laugher into the fourth. Naturally, following the course of this season, the C’s didn’t make things easy on themselves or their fans by letting down their guard and letting the Cavs peel off a 15-0 run to make things interesting as they entered the closing minutes of the 4th.

Luckily, Doc Rivers yelled at everyone to wake up enough times during his three timeouts, (I honestly thought he was going to smack someone after the J.J Hickson fast break dunk). and the C’s regained their composure just in time to put the Cavs away and send everyone to the parking lots early.

Plenty more on the way, and so much to go through. The reemergence of Rasheed Wallace. The brilliance of Rajon Rondo and his 18 assists during just two and a half quarters! (19 on night). The C’s relentless defense, containing Lebron and holding the Cavs to 40 percent shooting, 19 percent from deep, while forcing 15 turnovers. All 5 starters in double figures. The near collapse. We will cover it all here at Celtics Hub as we go through the upcoming days.

For now though, we are left to wonder, just exactly how terrific this Celtic team is that they can win a team on the road by 18 when they turn the ball over 18 times AND allow their opponents to shoot 38 times at the line.

All that matters for now is they head home with their goal accomplished. They got the split they wanted. Time to protect homecourt.

Much more to come in the AM…….
