Rondo Replacing Johnson on All-Star Team

The Herald got it right from Rondo’s agent. According to his agent, Bill Duffy, the Celtics point guard has been named to the Eastern Conference All-star roster, presumably to replace Joe Johnson, the injured Atlanta Hawks guard. This would be Rondo’s third all-star appearance. Nice birthday present for RR, who probably should have been selected [...]

Comments Deleting?

We apologize if your comments are being deleted (provided that they are not offensive). We are looking into why this is happening. We also want to apologize for the lack of a game thread for last night’s game.  We had a premonition that the Celtics would play that poorly and thought if we pretended the [...]

An Opportunity: Game 3 Open Thread

Offensive Efficiency:

Boston: 107.7 points/100 possessions (15th)

Cleveland: 111.2 points/100 possessions (6th)

Defensive Efficiency:

Boston: 103.8 points allowed/100 possessions (5th)

Cleveland: 104.1 points allowed/100 possessions (6th)

How big is this one? The roommate of a buddy of mine here in New York bought two tickets on StubHub, took today off work and hopped on a train to Boston just to go to this game.

There are also rumors of ThunderSticks, or ThunderStix, or whatever, which is sort of depressing, considering we’re talking about the Boston Celtics and not the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

In any case, I don’t need to tell you this is a big game. Win tonight, and the Cavs are playing for their season on Sunday.

Consider this your open thread. How does LeBron look? Is the C’s defense as strong as it was in Game 2? Is KG playing the screen/roll as well as he did before hurting his foot late in Game 2? Any adjustments you see on either side?

Tell us what you’re seeing, what you’re not seeing and what you should be seeing.
