(Video) Rajon Rondo Continues To Dominate In Postgame Interview

Rajon Rondo is a tremendous player, but he tends to have a little bit of an issue scoring the ball late in games. I won’t go as far as saying he is scared, but he does pass up shots and defer to teammates in crunch-time….well a lot. Last night though may have been his coming [...]

NBA: Hawks Should Have Had Free Throw on Last-Second Foul

Mike Fratello had it right: the NBA announced today that Al Horford should have been given a free throw on Marquis Daniels’s off-ball foul at the end of Thursday’s game. At the time, ref Eric Lewis ruled that Daniels’s foul had occurred after the throw-in, making him probably the only person in the arena who [...]

Game 6 Time Set For Thursday Night

Boston will face off with the Hawks on Thursday night at 8pm at TD Garden. The broadcast can be seen on TNT or CSN locally. There was a risk that it would be a 6pm tip for Boston-Atlanta, if the Nuggets failed to extend the series last night against the Lakers. That would have created [...]

The Biggest Celtics Game in 23 Months: Game 6 Open Thread

It seems like much more than 48 hours have passed since the Celtics victory in Game 5. All the speculation over LeBron’s semi no-show and What It Means For The Sport of Basketball And The City of Cleveland. All the keyboard-mashing over LeBron’s “disgraceful” or “disappointing” or “awful” or “spirit-less” 3-of-14 jumper-fest.

Finally: Game 6 is here. Or it will be in two hours or so. It’s indisputably the biggest game the Celtics have played since the ’08 Finals, though that’s not really saying much. I’ve had a day-long case of Butterflies In My Stomach for the first time since Game 6 of the ’08 Finals—that glorious, glorious Game 6.

You know the Butterflies—the combination of excitement and fear you get for the occasional huge playoff game. Excitement because, tonight, the Boston Celtics could eliminate the Cleveland Cavaliers from the NBA playoffs. Fear because if they don’t, they face the prospect of having to win in Cleveland for the third time in four games. Cleveland lost at home six times in the regular season.

Consider this your open thread. Is LeBron coming out with an aggression that borders on the reckless? Can the Celtics weather that and stay close early against the best first-quarter team in the league? Have the C’s changed anything in their defense against LeBron? Are the Cavs going small? Big? Without Mo Williams?

Does Rasheed Wallace already have four fouls?

Tell us what you’re seeing.

Here we go.
