Saturday night, the Boston Celtics sucked the life out of the Orlando Magic, imposing their will on both ends of the floor, to build what should be an insurmountable 3-0 series lead.
Tonight, they look to finish the job in game 4 at the Garden, avoiding a return trip to Disney World and earning themselves a week to prepare for their unnamed opponents before the start of the NBA Finals.
Though the series result is not in doubt, there are a lot of questions to be answered tonight, particularly surrounding the Orlando Magic. Will they show up and fight, or accept their impending doom? The talk coming out of their locker room in the past two days make it sound like it will be the latter, but we won’t know for sure until 8:30 this evening.
On the Celtics end, there are fewer questions to be answered, except whether this team will hit a bump in the road for the first time in seven games. If not, a week’s worth of rest and a trip to the NBA Finals awaits.
This team smells blood and tonight, they will be looking for the kill. Tell us what you’re seeing out there.

Good idea by Rondo. Be great to get Nelson out of the game. Too bad he tunred into the center where Howard could get his shot.
I’m pretty sure I heard them say C’s had no timeouts.
Another 5 minutes of insanity. Oh boy. I don’t know how much more of this I can take.
Can’t hit a shot.
This is over.
Are we seriously going to lose this game because Jameer Nelson banked in a 3?
@Sophomore – We’re going to lose because he hit back-to-back 3s.
Terrible shots by Nelson, 30% makes at best.
This is gonna be a crushing defeat if we lose. Wow. Banked 3?
That’s blasphemy against Jesus.
@miss j. – Ack! He hit the second one about a second after I submitted the comment.
Crap.
Jesus saves?
RAY ALLEN!!!
Ray Allen screaming THIS STILL AINT OVER YET!
Man those offensive boards are killing us! Ray’s hot.
I think that was it.
Garnett turnover. It’s over
PP doesn’t have the legs.
@Soph
Said that in the 3rd. Sigh!
Dang. Sloppy.
Everyone knew that Ray wasn’t going to get another 3 after that second one.
Only consolation is that DH and Jameer can’t play any better.
I’m disgusted with this game. AWFUL final possessions, they should be better than that. Where was the heart from Game 3, they quit in this one.
A fitting ending to a lousy game
Im fucking pissed. They looked like they didn’t even want to win. Honestly now I have to be this pissed off for two days. We had a GREAT chance to end the series tonight, and get a week off until the finals.
Now we lose game 5, Magic get lucky in game 6, then they blow us out in game 7. First team to lose a series when up 3-0 the 2010 Boston Celtics.
@Jay P
Come on now. I can understand being disgusted with the game but it’s not because they quit. They just executed very poorly at both of the endgames.
I feel lousy. I’ve been trying to distract myself for the last 10 minutes, but I can’t get this game out of my head or off my chest. I can’t believe how emotionally invested I am in this team and how difficult it is to detach myself!
uh oh. pressures on BOS now
I don’t think they knew that they had a chance to go to the finals if they won.
JayP– they didn’t quit playing. They never started. It was bad right from tipoff.
I just wonder if this has something to do with the millions of dollars they lose with every missed playoff game. Probably not. But I still wonder.
Now that the C’s have given the Magic their confidence back, the Magic go home and win one there. All of a sudden, it’s 3-2, and the Magic know they can win a 7-game series down 3-2 against Boston.
