(Video) Rajon Rondo Continues To Dominate In Postgame Interview

Rajon Rondo is a tremendous player, but he tends to have a little bit of an issue scoring the ball late in games. I won’t go as far as saying he is scared, but he does pass up shots and defer to teammates in crunch-time….well a lot. Last night though may have been his coming [...]

NBA: Hawks Should Have Had Free Throw on Last-Second Foul

Mike Fratello had it right: the NBA announced today that Al Horford should have been given a free throw on Marquis Daniels’s off-ball foul at the end of Thursday’s game. At the time, ref Eric Lewis ruled that Daniels’s foul had occurred after the throw-in, making him probably the only person in the arena who [...]

Game 6 Time Set For Thursday Night

Boston will face off with the Hawks on Thursday night at 8pm at TD Garden. The broadcast can be seen on TNT or CSN locally. There was a risk that it would be a 6pm tip for Boston-Atlanta, if the Nuggets failed to extend the series last night against the Lakers. That would have created [...]

A Chance: Game 5 Open Thread

Here is the 12,195th-most important reason it would be great if the Celtics could win tonight: My Memorial Day Friday, as it stands right now, is full of promise: An early release from work, followed by a rooftop barbecue in Brooklyn followed by whatever New York City has to offer after that.

Currently not scheduled on Friday night: Returning home, firing up the laptop like a true nerd and watching nervously as the Celtics try to win Game 6  and avoid the hoops armageddon of a Game 7 in Orlando.

So, please, for all of Celtics Nation in a similar predicament: Come out tonight with urgency. Find ways to attack and disrupt Jameer Nelson on the 35 or so screen/rolls you know are coming. Play hard, Rasheed. Be a scorer again, Rajon.

These things will have to happen, because Orlando believes it can pull this off. And the Magic are at home, and they might be due to make a few of those open threes they missed in the early moments of Game 1.

The effort tonight is going to have be off the charts, and the execution is going to have to be damn near perfect.

Consider this the Game 5 open thread. Tell us what you’re seeing.

I am nervous—and not in a good way.
