Avery Bradley Likely Done For Season

On the back of a horrific game six performance, Gary Washburn of the Globe piled on with more bad news: Avery Bradley is almost certainly done for the season. Washburn: A source close to Bradley told the Globe that it’s in the “high 90s” percentile that Bradley will be shut down and will perhaps need [...]

Game 6 Will Be Wednesday Night at 8pm on ESPN

After the Thunder finished up their series by routinely dismantling the Lakers last night to send them packing in five games, a time has been announced for the C’s-Sixers Game 6 on Wednesday night. It will tipoff shortly after 8pm on ESPN. Looking ahead in the postseason, if the C’s do win Game 6, and [...]

Highlight: Rondo Leads The Break

I love this decision-making from Rajon Rondo. While leading the break, you can see him eyeballing Ray Allen, who runs the wing and spots up on the arc. The Sixers have a 1-2 disadvantage but are mostly concerned about Allen’s three balls, which allows Mickael Pietrus to make an unmolested baseline cut behind the defense. [...]

Celtics-Sixers Game 5 Tips off at 7pm

A note to all you local C’s fans out there that may be attending the game tonight at TD Garden. The game will start just after 7pm and will be broadcast nationally on TNT. However, unlike most TNT regular season games during the season, the tip will not come 15-20 minutes after the scheduled start [...]

(Video) Rajon Rondo Continues To Dominate In Postgame Interview

Rajon Rondo is a tremendous player, but he tends to have a little bit of an issue scoring the ball late in games. I won’t go as far as saying he is scared, but he does pass up shots and defer to teammates in crunch-time….well a lot. Last night though may have been his coming [...]

C’s Select “Steal of the D-League Draft” For Red Claws

Starting to worry about the C’s frontcourt depth, after all these injuries already? Fear not, the C’s are still stockpiling talent at lower levels of their organization as the Maine Red Claws, the C’s D-League affiliate with the Charlotte Bobcats, selected Magnum Rolle, a 6-11 center out of Louisana Tech with the third overall pick in the D-League Draft yesterday.

Rolle had a hot prospect during the summer league and was drafted by the Indiana Pacers in the 2nd round of this year’s draft. The TrueHoop Network’s own Matt Moore called Rolle the “steal of the D-League draft” over at his FanHouse column:

He should be considered one of the top call-up prospects with an excellent combination of size, range, and athleticism. How athletic, you ask? Ask Terrence Williams.

Rolle has as many weaknesses as any D-League draft prospect, but is also a stellar prospect and more than that is an actual viable big man. Think of it! A viable! NBA D-League! Big! Those never exist! Next to Paul Harris, Tiny Gallon and Mario West, the Red Claws are already looking very much like a team that could be back in playoff contention as they were last year before a late-season slide.

Rolle had a high usage rate with little impact in preseason, but with some time in the D-League, that may be just what he needs to develop his game at the next level. A great fit all around. Plus, his name is awesome, so he’s got that going for him.

Here’s a full list of draft picks by the Red Claws (h/t WEEI.com)

1. Magnum Rolle C 6-11 225 Louisiana Tech

2. Kenny Hayes G 6-2 183 Miami (Ohio)

2. Champ Oguchi G 6-6 195 Illinois State

3. Lawrence Westbrook G 6-00 185 Minnesota

4. Tajuan Porter G 5-06 150 Oregon

5. James Lewis G 6-4 200 Fresno Pacific

6. JaJuan Smith G 6-3 195 Tennessee

7. Eugene Spates F 6-8 220 Northeastern

8. Armon Bassett G 6-2 180 Ohio
