Avery Bradley Likely Done For Season

On the back of a horrific game six performance, Gary Washburn of the Globe piled on with more bad news: Avery Bradley is almost certainly done for the season. Washburn: A source close to Bradley told the Globe that it’s in the “high 90s” percentile that Bradley will be shut down and will perhaps need [...]

Game 6 Will Be Wednesday Night at 8pm on ESPN

After the Thunder finished up their series by routinely dismantling the Lakers last night to send them packing in five games, a time has been announced for the C’s-Sixers Game 6 on Wednesday night. It will tipoff shortly after 8pm on ESPN. Looking ahead in the postseason, if the C’s do win Game 6, and [...]

Highlight: Rondo Leads The Break

I love this decision-making from Rajon Rondo. While leading the break, you can see him eyeballing Ray Allen, who runs the wing and spots up on the arc. The Sixers have a 1-2 disadvantage but are mostly concerned about Allen’s three balls, which allows Mickael Pietrus to make an unmolested baseline cut behind the defense. [...]

A note to all you local C’s fans out there that may be attending the game tonight at TD Garden. The game will start just after 7pm and will be broadcast nationally on TNT. (Video) Rajon Rondo Continues To Dominate In Postgame Interview

Rajon Rondo is a tremendous player, but he tends to have a little bit of an issue scoring the ball late in games. I won’t go as far as saying he is scared, but he does pass up shots and defer to teammates in crunch-time….well a lot. Last night though may have been his coming [...]

Jermaine O’Neal Out 2-3 Weeks; Daniels May Miss Wizards Game

According to ESPN Boston’s Chris Forsberg, Doc Rivers indicated Monday that Jermaine O’Neal will be out of action an additional 2-3 weeks as he tries to deal with a lingering knee injury that has kept him off the court the last two games. O’Neal has struggled with health for the last few years, racking up only 68, 42 and 69 games in the years previous to last, when he was able to play 70 games for Miami.

O’Neal’s extended absence comes as Celtics coach Doc Rivers is already juggling his big-man rotation. With Kendrick Perkins out, Shaquille O’Neal playing limited minutes in his own return from injury and young center Semih Erden playing through a shoulder problem that may eventually require surgery, Rivers has had little choice but to lean heavily on Glen Davis and Kevin Garnett in the early-going of the season.

Assuming Shaq can continue to provide some minutes (he went for 21 against Miami last Thursday and 22 in the win over Memphis on Saturday), Rivers’ big man rotation remains manageable in the short term. But if Shaq’s return to the lineup hits any roadblocks, Rivers could unwittingly be in a position to experiment with small lineups.

Forsberg also tweeted that Marquis Daniels may miss the Wizards game to attend to family matters. His minutes will likely be split between the returning Delonte West and Von Wafer.

In the silver lining department – Celtics rookie guard Avery Bradley was back at practice today. It’s still unclear when he’ll make his regular season NBA debut.
