Avery Bradley Likely Done For Season

On the back of a horrific game six performance, Gary Washburn of the Globe piled on with more bad news: Avery Bradley is almost certainly done for the season. Washburn: A source close to Bradley told the Globe that it’s in the “high 90s” percentile that Bradley will be shut down and will perhaps need [...]

Game 6 Will Be Wednesday Night at 8pm on ESPN

After the Thunder finished up their series by routinely dismantling the Lakers last night to send them packing in five games, a time has been announced for the C’s-Sixers Game 6 on Wednesday night. It will tipoff shortly after 8pm on ESPN. Looking ahead in the postseason, if the C’s do win Game 6, and [...]

Highlight: Rondo Leads The Break

I love this decision-making from Rajon Rondo. While leading the break, you can see him eyeballing Ray Allen, who runs the wing and spots up on the arc. The Sixers have a 1-2 disadvantage but are mostly concerned about Allen’s three balls, which allows Mickael Pietrus to make an unmolested baseline cut behind the defense. [...]

Celtics-Sixers Game 5 Tips off at 7pm

A note to all you local C’s fans out there that may be attending the game tonight at TD Garden. The game will start just after 7pm and will be broadcast nationally on TNT. However, unlike most TNT regular season games during the season, the tip will not come 15-20 minutes after the scheduled start [...]

(Video) Rajon Rondo Continues To Dominate In Postgame Interview

Rajon Rondo is a tremendous player, but he tends to have a little bit of an issue scoring the ball late in games. I won’t go as far as saying he is scared, but he does pass up shots and defer to teammates in crunch-time….well a lot. Last night though may have been his coming [...]

West May Return In January

Jessica Camerato has encouraging news on Delonte West, who is ahead of schedule on his rehab:

“I might be back a lot sooner than people think,” he told CSNNE.com following the Celtics-Hawks game. “I’m pushing for mid-January.”

West has been sidelined since breaking his right (non-shooting) wrist on November 24 against the New Jersey Nets.

Even though there is no timetable set for his return and there were initial projections that West could miss the majority of the regular season, West believes he will be back sooner than that.

“I feel wonderful, first and foremost,” he said. “I use a bone stimulator for 10 hours a day. I get this cast off in two weeks, but I’ve already started conditioning, shooting jumpers and working out already.”

CelticsHub Analysis: Don’t count your chickens. While with Cleveland, West recovered from a similar injury in relatively short order (missing only 16 games), but until the cast comes off we probably won’t be able to assess how much of West’s optimism is just that.

That said, given we’re approaching the new year, when injuries caught up with the Celtics last year and sent them into that 54-game funk, West’s return would go a long way towards stabilizing the second unit through the dark winter months – and providing insurance should Rajon Rondo’s wave of injuries fail to crest. Plus, the C’s go through a difficult stretch from the middle of January through the middle of February with two games against Orlando, as well as matchups with Miami, the Lakers, Utah and Dallas. That run of games could have significant impact on playoff seeding as the road to banner #18 will probably go through at least two of those teams.
