Avery Bradley Likely Done For Season

On the back of a horrific game six performance, Gary Washburn of the Globe piled on with more bad news: Avery Bradley is almost certainly done for the season. Washburn: A source close to Bradley told the Globe that it’s in the “high 90s” percentile that Bradley will be shut down and will perhaps need [...]

Game 6 Will Be Wednesday Night at 8pm on ESPN

After the Thunder finished up their series by routinely dismantling the Lakers last night to send them packing in five games, a time has been announced for the C’s-Sixers Game 6 on Wednesday night. It will tipoff shortly after 8pm on ESPN. Looking ahead in the postseason, if the C’s do win Game 6, and [...]

Highlight: Rondo Leads The Break

I love this decision-making from Rajon Rondo. While leading the break, you can see him eyeballing Ray Allen, who runs the wing and spots up on the arc. The Sixers have a 1-2 disadvantage but are mostly concerned about Allen’s three balls, which allows Mickael Pietrus to make an unmolested baseline cut behind the defense. [...]

Celtics-Sixers Game 5 Tips off at 7pm

A note to all you local C’s fans out there that may be attending the game tonight at TD Garden. The game will start just after 7pm and will be broadcast nationally on TNT. However, unlike most TNT regular season games during the season, the tip will not come 15-20 minutes after the scheduled start [...]

(Video) Rajon Rondo Continues To Dominate In Postgame Interview

Rajon Rondo is a tremendous player, but he tends to have a little bit of an issue scoring the ball late in games. I won’t go as far as saying he is scared, but he does pass up shots and defer to teammates in crunch-time….well a lot. Last night though may have been his coming [...]

Video: Full Kevin Garnett Reaction After Game 1

Garnett followed up his season-best effort against Atlanta in Game 6 with a new season-high in points and another sensational double-double, as well 60 percent shooting (12-of-20) from the field. Over his past two contests, Garnett is averaging 28.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, two steals and four blocks a game. After the game, KG was candid [...]

Ainge: KG Has Strained Calf, Will Miss Couple Weeks At Most

Rejoice Celtics fans. Danny Ainge has passed along the news while appearing on WEEI 850 in Boston that the team has received the results on Kevin Garnett’s MRI on his right leg. A few of the highlights from the injury report, with a full transcript on the way from Ainge’s interview:

  • It is a muscle strain in the calf
  • Garnett should be out a couple of weeks at the most
  • The injury has nothing to do with the knee

Once again, all of this news is fairly consistent with what we heard from Doc and other C’s personnel last night. Much more on this story as we get it, along with full analysis, but for now looks like the C’s dodged a huge bullet with this minor injury for their All-Star power forward. Here’s the rest of Ainge’s remarks complied from the interview, which you will be able to hear in full at weei.com

Ainge On KG:

“He may be out for a couple of weeks at the most.”

“My biggest fear is wearing Paul and Ray out.”

“It’s not just Rondo out, but Delonte out and we’ve had the injuries to Shaq and Jermaine and now they’re back and that’s going to help. It’s going to be hard to maintain the same pace that we’re playing at right now without Rajon and KG. Doc is going to have to be creative…. Like he did the other night using Marquis at the 1.

Ainge on Perk:

“We’re just taking it week by week. He’s not coming back within the next week or two. We’ll evaluate it in a couple of weeks. Our timetable has been the middle of February and we’ll keep it there until we know he’s healthy.”

Ainge on Rondo:

“Rajon is getting better. It was a pretty severe sprain as you could see on TV. He could play but he’s still in pain. He has pain on both sides of the ankle. We don’t want to get him back on the court until he can play hard.”
