Avery Bradley Likely Done For Season

On the back of a horrific game six performance, Gary Washburn of the Globe piled on with more bad news: Avery Bradley is almost certainly done for the season. Washburn: A source close to Bradley told the Globe that it’s in the “high 90s” percentile that Bradley will be shut down and will perhaps need [...]

Game 6 Will Be Wednesday Night at 8pm on ESPN

After the Thunder finished up their series by routinely dismantling the Lakers last night to send them packing in five games, a time has been announced for the C’s-Sixers Game 6 on Wednesday night. It will tipoff shortly after 8pm on ESPN. Looking ahead in the postseason, if the C’s do win Game 6, and [...]

Highlight: Rondo Leads The Break

I love this decision-making from Rajon Rondo. While leading the break, you can see him eyeballing Ray Allen, who runs the wing and spots up on the arc. The Sixers have a 1-2 disadvantage but are mostly concerned about Allen’s three balls, which allows Mickael Pietrus to make an unmolested baseline cut behind the defense. [...]

A note to all you local C’s fans out there that may be attending the game tonight at TD Garden. The game will start just after 7pm and will be broadcast nationally on TNT. (Video) Rajon Rondo Continues To Dominate In Postgame Interview

Rajon Rondo is a tremendous player, but he tends to have a little bit of an issue scoring the ball late in games. I won’t go as far as saying he is scared, but he does pass up shots and defer to teammates in crunch-time….well a lot. Last night though may have been his coming [...]

Paul Pierce Fined $15K For Tossing Gum?

For as ridiculous as that headline reads, it appears the be the truth for the C’s captain. The fine came down yesterday afternoon for the incident which took place during the C’s win over Indiana Tuesday night. ESPNBoston’s Chris Forsberg gets us caught up with all the details:

The incident occurred with 8:02 remaining in the first quarter of Boston’s 95-83 win over the Indiana Pacers at Conseco Fieldhouse. At that time, Pierce picked up his second foul (on a questionable call) and was subbed out of the game.

The Celtics’ local television broadcast on Comcast SportsNet doesn’t show Pierce tossing anything into the stands, including his headband. A feed from FoxSports Indiana appears to show Pierce throwing his gum into the stands as he passes the scorer’s table, which could explain the fine. The NBA could not confirm whether the fine was related to Pierce’s gum.

The last part of that kills me. Really NBA? You can’t confirm just what exactly what he was fined for? Did he look at a ref the wrong way too? C’mon guys, give us something to work with here! Here’s video of the alleged gum tossing, which appeared to be done with minimal malice as Pierce passed the scorer’s table a few seconds into the clip:

Given Pierce’s lack of control there, it makes me believe he should take a more Mr. Perfect-like approach next times he tries to dispose of a piece of Juicy Fruit. Should lead to less of a fine.
