Rondo Replacing Johnson on All-Star Team

The Herald got it right from Rondo’s agent. According to his agent, Bill Duffy, the Celtics point guard has been named to the Eastern Conference All-star roster, presumably to replace Joe Johnson, the injured Atlanta Hawks guard. This would be Rondo’s third all-star appearance. Nice birthday present for RR, who probably should have been selected [...]

Comments Deleting?

We apologize if your comments are being deleted (provided that they are not offensive). We are looking into why this is happening. We also want to apologize for the lack of a game thread for last night’s game.  We had a premonition that the Celtics would play that poorly and thought if we pretended the [...]

KG Misses Shootaround, Status Unclear for Tonight

UPDATE: KG IS OUT TONIGHT

The C’s had a morning shootaround going off a day of rest yesterday, a well deserved one at that after having played in five games the past seven nights. Missing at that shootaround however was Kevin Garnett, who Doc mentioned could return as early as tonight. Here’s the latest from A. Sherrod Blakely at CSNNE.com:

The return of Kevin Garnett is still very much up in the air following Boston’s morning shootaround prior to tonight’s game against the Houston Rockets.

The C’s went through their usual pregame walkthrough at the team’s practice facility, but Garnett was not on the floor.

While it might appear that Garnett won’t play tonight, it wouldn’t be the first time this season a key player managed to suit up after not participating in the morning shootaround.

Rajon Rondo, who missed seven games prior to Boston’s Jan. 2 win at Toronto because of a left ankle sprain,  did not participate in the C’s walk-through prior to facing the Raptors.

All things considered, I hope we don’t see Garnett tonight. The Rockets are a formidable foe and have a tough power forward with Luis Scola at the starting spot. That being said, they are still a beatable team for Boston at home without The Big Ticket. With Sacramento and Charlotte on the horizon this week as well, there really is no need to push Garnett back ahead of schedule when the team has found a bit of a rhythm (4-1 in last 5) without him.

Am I worrying too much here? Or do people actually want to see him tonight?
