Avery Bradley Likely Done For Season

On the back of a horrific game six performance, Gary Washburn of the Globe piled on with more bad news: Avery Bradley is almost certainly done for the season. Washburn: A source close to Bradley told the Globe that it’s in the “high 90s” percentile that Bradley will be shut down and will perhaps need [...]

Game 6 Will Be Wednesday Night at 8pm on ESPN

After the Thunder finished up their series by routinely dismantling the Lakers last night to send them packing in five games, a time has been announced for the C’s-Sixers Game 6 on Wednesday night. It will tipoff shortly after 8pm on ESPN. Looking ahead in the postseason, if the C’s do win Game 6, and [...]

Highlight: Rondo Leads The Break

I love this decision-making from Rajon Rondo. While leading the break, you can see him eyeballing Ray Allen, who runs the wing and spots up on the arc. The Sixers have a 1-2 disadvantage but are mostly concerned about Allen’s three balls, which allows Mickael Pietrus to make an unmolested baseline cut behind the defense. [...]

Celtics-Sixers Game 5 Tips off at 7pm

A note to all you local C’s fans out there that may be attending the game tonight at TD Garden. The game will start just after 7pm and will be broadcast nationally on TNT. However, unlike most TNT regular season games during the season, the tip will not come 15-20 minutes after the scheduled start [...]

(Video) Rajon Rondo Continues To Dominate In Postgame Interview

Rajon Rondo is a tremendous player, but he tends to have a little bit of an issue scoring the ball late in games. I won’t go as far as saying he is scared, but he does pass up shots and defer to teammates in crunch-time….well a lot. Last night though may have been his coming [...]

Practice Report: Nate Questionable for Tomorrow, West Out vs. Heat, Semih & Shaq Could Be Out Awhile

The C’s just wrapped up practice over in Waltham and there was a host of news filtering out of the team’s first practice send the loss against the Lakers last week. Here’s the big news of the day, in bullet points.

* Nate Robinson did not practice, but hopes to play tomorrow against the Heat.

* Delonte West did practice but will not play tomorrow against the Heat. Doc Rivers hopes to have him suit up against the Nets Wednesday, barring any setbacks in practice early next week.

* Semih Erden and Shaquille O’Neal both aren’t healing well, and it remains unclear just when they will return after the All-Star Break as they both battle groin and Achilles’ injuries respectively.

Here’s a few quotes from Doc and Nate from practice, courtesy of Chris Forsberg of ESPNBoston.com:

On Who Practiced: “Same group of guys [practicing]. Nate didn’t practice but I think he’ll play tomorrow, but i think he’ll play. He went through walk through stuff. I think so, but we really don’t know.

On Weighing Importance Of Game Vs. Heat: “They all carry weight. Whenever you have a game to when you can win the season series, it carries weight. Our guys don’t get caught up with the other meeting stuff.”

On Delonte’s Status: “He practiced but he won’t play. We’re hoping he plays Wednesday. It’d be great to get a game in before the All-Star Break. That way he’ll have that under his belt. We’ll see though. We’re going to practice Monday and Tuesday and that will give him a chance to take a lot of hits.”

On Semih and Shaq: “They’re out until after the break, we don’t know when they will be back after the break right now. Semih’s groin and Shaq’s Achilles’ are both not improving at all. Obviously we thought we would have them back by Thursday, but that’s fine. Shaq’s heel hasn’t gotten worse, it just hasn’t healed.”

On The Injury and wearing a brace: “I wear a big old knee brace like Perk. When he shot, I got too close and when I landed, we hit knees at same time. Doc said it was like a perfect hit.”

On Playing Tomorrow: “It will swell, but the pain in there is kind of funky right now. I hope it’ll be okay for tomorrow. I can walk and everything, but it’s the running and the jumping that hurt.”

Nate noted that he will try to do whatever it takes to get ready for tomorrow and said he was at the team’s practice facility until 11pm last night taking shots and getting treatments.
