(Video) Rajon Rondo Continues To Dominate In Postgame Interview

Rajon Rondo is a tremendous player, but he tends to have a little bit of an issue scoring the ball late in games. I won’t go as far as saying he is scared, but he does pass up shots and defer to teammates in crunch-time….well a lot. Last night though may have been his coming [...]

NBA: Hawks Should Have Had Free Throw on Last-Second Foul

Mike Fratello had it right: the NBA announced today that Al Horford should have been given a free throw on Marquis Daniels’s off-ball foul at the end of Thursday’s game. At the time, ref Eric Lewis ruled that Daniels’s foul had occurred after the throw-in, making him probably the only person in the arena who [...]

Game 6 Time Set For Thursday Night

Boston will face off with the Hawks on Thursday night at 8pm at TD Garden. The broadcast can be seen on TNT or CSN locally. There was a risk that it would be a 6pm tip for Boston-Atlanta, if the Nuggets failed to extend the series last night against the Lakers. That would have created [...]

Garnett (Hip) Doubtful For Tomorrow, and Other Practice Notes

A quick rundown of a fairly eventful practice session in Waltham this afternoon. Since nearly half the roster was involved in some sort of injury/other story during this session, I almost feel like breaking out the grades chart, but in lieu of that here’s the key items to take out of what may well be the C’s last full practice at home until the month of April.

Kevin Garnett – The Big Ticket was not spotted today,  due to a hip flexor he aggravated during Sunday’s game against the Bulls. The ABC commentating team pointed out Garnett was favoring the hip a few times on Sunday, and the C’s training staff has gone the cautious route with Garnett understandable, sitting him for the past couple days, with a likelihood of him sitting tomorrow against the Pistons. KG did not speak to the media, but Doc Rivers called his injury “not serious” for what it’s worth. With Chicago looming on Thursday, Detroit is as good a team to rest against as anyone at this point for their veteran power forward.

Jermaine O’Neal – The center went through a full practice with the team and expects to return to action tomorrow, after sitting out the past two games with a sore shoulder and knee.

Brandon Bass – The sixth man spoke in great depth about his knee injury. Bass noted how he had aggravated the injury in both Orlando victories a couple weeks back and rushed back too soon after taking a one-game hiatus against the Grizz. He believes he could play in a couple more days, but plans on following orders from the training staff to give it the full two weeks of rest before returning to action.

Mickael Pietrus – The knee issue Pietrus had this summer appears to be flaring up again, as Rivers called him doubtful for tomorrow’s game as well. The jovial swingman was his usual charming self with the media and did not seem alarmed by the injury, but this is one to keep an eye on.

Rajon Rondo – Declined to speak with the media again, scurrying away as Jermaine O’Neal held court with reporters. No further comment here.

That’s the full roundup for now.
