The whispers around Paul Pierce’s future with the Celtics continue to surface in the fourth week of Boston’s offseason. Locally, plenty of Celtics fans seem resigned to the fact [...]

Video: Rajon Rondo on E! Fashion Police

What has Rajon Rondo been up to this offseason beyond rehabbing his ACL injury? Rubbing elbows with Joan Rivers, that’s what. Jason Terry’s 2012-13 Final Grade

Acquiring any player, whether it’s via trade, free agency, or the draft, comes with an air of uncertainty. The NBA has no guaranteed covenant and all sales are final, no matter how talented, proven, or productive the player may have been in year’s past. But these memories—especially recent ones—often clouds the judgment of a [...]

This game was going to be just another night on the schedule until word spread that the Celtics were interested in Kings power forward JJ Hickson and were willing to give up probably nothing for him.  Now, tonight is really going to showcase the “what could’ve beens”.  JJ Hickson could’ve been sitting on the Celtic bench!  He could’ve been a Celtics DNP!

Tonight should be a far bigger media storm than it was when the Celtics first played David West’s Pacers.  I’m sure the beat writers are right now feverishly trying to craft their questions to get just enough information.  I mean, they’ll only have one or two shots at getting a decent quote with the number of cameras that will undoubtedly surround JJ.

But enough about Hickson.  The Celtics are just going to have to move on without him and besides, there’s  a game tonight.  And if you liked watching the Warriors game, get ready to be strapped in for some wild no-defense action!

Tonight should be as close as it was against Golden State because unlike the bolt carriers the Kings aren’t really effective on offense either.  The Kings are rivaling on the Blazers , Wizards, and Knicks for most player/coach drama this season.  The Kings are also the perfect example of how you can completely fail at building through the draft.  The Celtics front office is going to be faced with a lot of tough questions this offseason and many believe the only way to truly get great is to first get terrible.  To those who say that, I give you the Sacramento Kings.  While bottoming out and drafting high year in and year out has merit, it’s hardly an exact/easy science.

In the meantime, we’ve got a Celtic team with a grand opportunity to start 3-1 on this trip if they can take care of business tonight and continue their plight to get back to the top of the Atlantic Division.
